INSTRUCTIONS

1. All applicants MUST READ the program requirements for the position they are applying for on the KAC website.

2. Click "Next Page" to continue. You can save your application and return to it later using the "Save my progress" link at the top or bottom of any page.

3. When finished, click "Submit". You will need to complete your electronic signature on the Final Review page, and then verify it via an emailed link.

Important Information:

Please note that the minimum age requirement to participate in this program is 17, and the upper age limit is 38.

The Kupu ʻĀina Corps program will offer rolling start dates until all positions are filled.

Eligibility

In accordance with SB2768, the State of Hawaii’s legislation for a Green Jobs Youth Corps, applicants must be 38 years old or younger throughout their program term to be eligible for participation in Kupu ʻĀina Corps. Your date of birth will only be used to determine eligibility for participation based on this requirement.

Program Application Deadlines

For the October 7th start date, Participant applications are due by 8/16/24.

For the November 4th start date and all monthly rolling start dates thereafter, Participant applications will continue to be accepted until all positions are filled.

I understand and confirm that, if selected...

1. I am responsible for traveling to the island that I am selected for to begin my program term. Neither Kupu nor the host site is responsible for any travel or relocation expenses.

2. I must be available Monday through Friday during my program term, and be able to participate in potential late night, early morning and/or weekend (or holiday) activities.

3. I must be able to safely perform the physical and mental duties of my position which may include long hikes, remote camping, and using heavy tools and equipment.

4. I must submit a valid government issued photo ID to both Kupu and Kupu's HR company. I understand that employment with Kupu is contingent upon meeting a criminal history background check.

5. I am prohibited from smoking tobacco or non-tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) or consuming alcohol during work hours. I am also prohibited from using any illegal substances at any time and am subject to drug testing.
