Introduction

Mahalo for your interest in partnering with Kupu as a program host site!  Please use this form to apply for all programs your organization is interested in for the 2026–27 term.  As funding and position availability can change throughout the year, we encourage you to select every program for which you are eligible.  This allows Kupu to consider your organization for the widest range of opportunities as they arise.

Important Information
  • Please perform all updates on your web browser before completing this application form.
  • Sites may host one or more individual participants.
  • Requesting multiple participants: If your organization only has one direct supervisor overseeing the requested participants, you may submit one application form.  If your organization is requesting multiple participants and they will be overseen by separate supervisors, each direct supervisor at your organization needs to submit their own application form.
  • You are required to submit an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) with this application.  View an example of an EAP here.
  • After completing this application, selected sites will be asked to sign a Master Agreement and Statement of Work Addendum.

Program Options

Conservation Leadership Development Program (CLDP):

CLDP is an AmeriCorps program that aims to empower youth to serve their communities through character building, service learning, and environmental stewardship opportunities that encourage integrity (pono) with Ke Akua, self, and others.  
  • Focus: Support participants with hands-on service in areas such as native plant and wildlife conservation, watershed management, environmental education, and community-focused projects.
  • Restrictions:  CLDP participants cannot serve on private land.  Participant positions may also not displace or duplicate a staff position at your organization/site.
  • Eligible CLDP host sites: non-profit organizations. educational institutions, and county, state, or federal government agencies

Kupu ʻĀina Corps (KAC):
    KAC provides paid, career-building opportunities for young adults pursuing pathways in sustainability.  The program is designed to strengthen Hawaiʻi’s green workforce by supporting emerging and resilient industries.  By participating as a host site, organizations can increase their capacity at a subsidized rate through staffing resources provided by Kupu.
    • Focus: Project areas include sustainable agriculture, green technologies and renewable energy, wildfire prevention, and other sustainability-focused initiatives.
    • Eligible KAC host sites: non-profit and for-profit organizations, and county or state government agencies

    How many Participants and Position Descriptions?
